Job summary

Zodiac HR Consultants is seeking an experienced engineer to design Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) in Maharashtra. You will lead mechanism design and automation efforts for switchgear sub-assemblies and related components.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of SPM design experience, strong fundamentals in kinematics and materials selection, and the ability to design fixtures, jigs, and automated testing stations. Knowledge of Solid Edge is a plus, though not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years SP M design experience.
• Proven experience in SPM design, mechanism design, and industrial automation.
• Design automation systems for Terminal block, MCB, MCCB, Contactor, Isolator, Busbar, and other switchgear sub-assemblies.
• Design fixtures, jigs, automated stations, and testing machines.
• Perform engineering calculations including stress, deflection, motion, spring design, friction, etc.
• Strong fundamentals in kinematics, mechanisms, material selection, and structural design.
• Candidates from consultancies (not from conveyor belt, packaging industry), Solid Edge is not mandatory, but have knowledge of functions - Machine building.

Responsibilities

• Design fixtures, jigs, automated stations, and testing machines.
• Perform engineering calculations including stress, deflection, motion, spring design, friction.
• Design automation systems for switchgear sub-assemblies.
• Apply knowledge of kinematics, mechanisms, material selection, and structural design.
