Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer with 15+ years in mechatronics/robotics to design and develop automated systems for its India-based manufacturing lines. You will lead PLC programming, robotics integrations, and DFMs while creating documentation and training materials for operations teams.

Responsibilities include testing automation scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring safety and productivity standards across projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automation/mechatronics/robotics.
• Strong knowledge of electronics hardware and software integration.
• Experience in automation projects and 8D problem solving.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated systems and processes for manufacturing.
• Create DFMs aligned with customer requirements and production needs.
• Lead PLC programming and robotic system integrations.
• Develop documentation, training materials, and support guides.
• Conduct testing and validation of automation scripts and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on automation projects.
• Prepare 8D reports and ensure safety, functionality, and productivity standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Able to Design and Develop automated systems and processes. Involve in creating DFM in line with customer requirement
• Experience with PLC programming and robotic systems and Strong understanding of Electronics/ Hardware and software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Develop documentation, training materials, and support guides for automated processes
• Conduct testing and validation of automation scripts and workflows.
• Stay updated with the latest automation technologies and best practices.
• Ensure all automated processes adhere to standards for safety, functionality and productivity
• Collaborate with teams to understand their processes and needs, then design automation solutions to fit
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technology and automation practices
• In-depth knowledge and Experience in preparing 8D reports
• Experience in liaising with suppliers in India and abroad and co-ordinate with customer on Automation projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable automation solutions
• Knowledge of costing

Experience:

Mechanical Engineer with Mechatronics/ Robotics background with 15 plus years of experience
