Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) seeks an experienced AutoCAD Lead Designer in India to develop detailed instrumentation and control system designs for EPC projects. You will create layouts, manage documentation, perform MTOs, and support 3D modelling with SP3D/PDMS/E3D.

Strong skills in AutoCAD and MicroStation are required. Candidate should have 10–18 years of instrumentation design experience, proficiency with MS Office 365, and ability to produce instrument indexes and loop

• Must be able to understand Instrumentation design concepts
• Professional level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word

Responsibilities

• Cable routing and tray layouts
• Instrument location layouts
• Cable Tray supports modelling
• Support 3D modelling activities using tools like SP3D, PDMS, or E3D
• Ensure proper documentation and revision control of all design outputs
• Assist in material take-offs (MTO) and preparation of bill of materials
• Must have proven experience in Reading P & ID and prepare Instrument Index.
• SPI INTOOLS Index / Specifications / Hook up / Wring module
• Preparation of Loop diagram, Termination Drawings, Panel GA drawings, Layout drawings, Location plan, Cable routing, Installation drawings, Junction box schedule, Hook up Diagram, Cable schedule.
• Preparation of Material take off for instrument installation, cable, Cable tray and accessories

Title:

AutoCAD Lead Designer

An Instrumentation Designer will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and documentation for instrumentation and control systems in projects. The role supports engineering teams by ensuring accurate design, compliance with standards, and integration with process and control requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Cable routing and tray layouts

• Instrument location layouts
