Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AV Technician II to join our onsite team with a global client. You will support corporate AV/VC environments, analyze issues with technical diagnostic skills, and handle high-profile event support including audio, video, and conferencing technologies.

You will travel to client offices as needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth event execution and system reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to think and work independently.
• Wiring and termination skills and proper installation techniques for AV equipment.
• Willingness to travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Participate in installation of AV equipment and displays including audio/video equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems and presentation systems.
• Perform installation of structured cabling including pulling, terminating and testing Cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables.
• Ensure SLAs and daily deliverables are met including ticket updates.
• Upload Crestron control programs to control processors and coordinate with remote program team for certification.
• Assist with inventory including stock levels, returning product (RMA) and inventory DOA issues.
• Follow client policies, standards or safety guidelines.
• Engage in problem solving and troubleshooting during installations.
• Perform equipment setups, breakdowns and troubleshoot issues during events.
• Perform all necessary pre-event checks.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and internal users before and during events.
• Interface with end users and vendors to address requests and requirements.
• Identify and solve issues that impact conference room systems.
• Other duties as required.
