Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited seeks an Assistant Manager - Manufacturing to oversee production plan execution, resource deployment and daily target achievement on the assembly lines. You will drive productivity with TPM and cost-reduction initiatives, manage WIP and line balancing, and coordinate with marketing and quality teams.

Requires 3–5 years in auto manufacturing and a BE/Mechanical/Automobile degree.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automobile industry.
  • BE/Mechanical/Automobile degree required.
  • Mid level role with responsibility for line deployments and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Implement production plan and deploy resources as per schedule.
  • Achieve daily production targets on the assembly line.
  • Maintain in-process quality checks and address customer concerns.
  • Plan workforce utilization and compute work content and deployment.
  • Improve department productivity.
  • Implement initiatives like TPM and cost reduction to reduce NVA.
  • Ensure FIFO and monitor RFD lead-time; control WIP.
  • Monitor vehicles for PDI/RFD, WIP, and liaison with marketing.
  • Resolve day-to-day production, quality, and labour issues.
  • Undertake facility planning to meet CPPC budget.
  • Prepare and implement line balancing and layout changes to maximize output.
  • Provide assembly tools to support production activity.

Job description

Assistant Manager - Manufacturing TCF Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Ensure production plan implementation and deployment of resources as per schedule requirement.
  • Ensure daily production targets in respective Assy. line.
  • Ensure quality targets with respect to in process quality checks, quality checks and customer concerns
  • Ensure utilization of workforce planned EWT as per MOST. The candidate must have knowledge of calculating work content and manpower deployment.
  • To improve productivity of the department.
  • Ensure implementation of the new initiatives at the respective Assy. Lines e.g. TPM, Cost reduction, to reduce NVA's and others.
  • Ensure FIFO and roll down to RFD lead-time and control WIP.
  • Keep track of vehicles in terms of PDI/RFD, WIP and stock and liasioning with marketing.
  • Resolving day to day production, quality and labour issues.
  • Undertake facility planning to meet the CPPC budget.
  • Knowledge on DCP *
  • Preparing and implementing action plans for line balancing and layout changes in order to maximize the output
  • Facilitate and Arrange of Assembly tools to support to production activity.
