As an Assistant Manager - Engineering in the Engineering Services Department at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Central Process Engineering activities for the Rudrapur Plant within the Farm Division. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Manufacturing
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering. A strong foundational knowledge in mechanical systems, manufacturing technologies, and process design principles is essential to succeed in this role.
The educational qualification should be complemented by an understanding of current industry standards and practices, along with proficiency in relevant engineering software tools. Continuous learning and professional development in emerging technologies and process innovations are encouraged to stay ahead in the competitive manufacturing sector.
Preferred qualifications also include certifications or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project Management, which will facilitate effective process optimisation and leadership within the engineering team.
Candidates should bring 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, with a strong preference for those who have spent 3 to 4 years focused in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering roles. Experience in the agricultural machinery or related heavy equipment manufacturing industry will be considered advantageous.
Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end process engineering projects, from conceptualisation through to implementation and continuous improvement, is expected. The candidate should have a proven track record of successfully collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet production targets and quality standards.
Experience with health and safety compliance, cost reduction initiatives, and the ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment are important. Prior exposure to working in large plants with complex assembly processes will enhance the ability to adapt swiftly and contribute effectively.
