Job summary

Larsen & Toubro invites a Control System Engineer to spearhead mathematical modelling and simulation across electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, and underwater acoustic domains. You will generate subsystem requirements, analyze dynamic interactions, and design navigation, guidance, and motion control schemes for diverse platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of mathematical modelling and simulation from first principles.
• Expertise in controller design (PID and advanced control methods).
• Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK, SIMSCAPE and similar simulation tools.
• Working knowledge of Python and C/C++ programming languages.
• Thorough understanding of Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic theory.
• Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and CAE-based simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Mathematical modelling and simulation of multidisciplinary systems from first principles (electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, underwater acoustic modeling etc.).
• Development of advanced control systems including stability analysis, system identification, and performance evaluation.
• Requirement generation and documentation for control subsystems across diverse engineering projects.
• Study and analysis of system dynamics, including electromagnetic and electromechanical interactions.
• Design and implementation of guidance, navigation, and motion control strategies for different platforms.
