Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an experienced engineer to conceptualize, design, and develop Siemens PLC based control systems. You will validate technical specifications and perform hardware cost estimations for complex facilities and AMRs.

The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in C/Python. Fluency in English and ability to present to managers and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Post Graduation (Master degree) in Automation & Control, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum six years of relevant industry experience, OR
• Graduation (Bachelor degree) in Automation & Control, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum eight years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and develop Siemens PLC based control systems and validate to formulate all required technical specifications.
• Perform role of system architect involving design and development of control logic and hardware cost estimations for cable manufacturing and production facilities, ROVs, AMRs and similar electro-mechanical systems.

Conceptualize, Design and develop Industrialized Solutions in form of Siemens PLC based Control Systems and validate it to formulate all required technical specifications, will perform the role of system architect that involves design and development of Control Logic and hardware cost estimations for Cable Manufacturing and Production facilities, Remotely Operated Vehicles/Vessels (ROVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and similar Electro-mechanical systems.

Required:

• Post Graduation (Master degree) in Automation & Control, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum six years of relevant industry experience, OR
• Graduation (Bachelor degree) in Automation & Control, or Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree with minimum eight years of relevant industry experience.

Desired:

• Siemens Control HW/SW development experience for at least 2 Years
• Experience of working with platform to establish communication with third party devices.
• Exposure of working on various network protocols viz. EtherNet, ControlNet etc.
• Experience in C and/or Python Programming
• Good communication skills. Must be fluent in the English language.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management.
