Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and production capacity.
• Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of manufacturing schedules.
• Coordinate with cutting, stitching, upholstery, carpentry, assembly, finishing, and packing departments for smooth workflow.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Supervise shop-floor personnel and team leaders; allocate work and monitor productivity.
• Conduct daily production meetings and provide operational guidance; train operators on SOPs and quality requirements.
• Maintain discipline and promote teamwork across production functions.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize material wastage; implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen.
• Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with Stores and Procurement to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and consumables.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance department for preventive maintenance; ensure machines are in good condition.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Production Planning & Execution: Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and production capacity. Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of manufacturing schedules. Coordinate with cutting, stitching, upholstery, carpentry, assembly, finishing, and packing departments for smooth workflow. Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Team Management: Supervise shop-floor personnel and team leaders. Allocate work and monitor employee productivity. Conduct daily production meetings and provide operational guidance. Train and mentor operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements. Maintain discipline and promote teamwork across production functions.
• Quality Control: Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve production-related quality issues. Monitor rejection, rework, and defect rates, and implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to approved product specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and minimize material wastage. Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.
• Inventory & Material Management: Coordinate with Stores and Procurement to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials, foam, fabric, leather, wood, hardware, and consumables. Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage. Ensure accurate production reporting and material reconciliation.
• Machine & Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the Maintenance department for preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure machines and tools are maintained in good working condition. Report equipment breakdowns promptly and follow up for timely repairs.
