Job summary

Rockman in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu is seeking a quality inspector to ensure final products meet required standards. You will conduct final component inspections and verify samples against defined parameters.

The role involves generating PMI, customer and warranty reports, managing rejects, and driving quality improvement projects across the plant while ensuring compliance with all quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience inprocess quality and final quality required.
• Experience in machine shop quality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure final products dispatched meet required quality standards.
• Conduct final inspection of components and ensure samples are inspected as per defined parameters.
• Generate PMI reports, customer reports and warranty reports and notify authorities for corrective action.
• Dispose rejection types (Line, PMI, Customer, Warranty) and prepare necessary reports.
• Ensure Hold outputs are returned to production team immediately.
• Review rejected output and route to scrap as needed.
• Follow up on quality-related improvement projects at the plant including customer projects and internal initiatives.
• Ensure quality compliances and standards for the plant are met.

Role & responsibilities

Ensure that the final products being dispatched to the customer, meet the required quality standards

Conduct final inspection of the components and ensure that the all the samples are inspected as per the defined parameters

• Ensure that the drawing and the quality plan is available for all products
• Generate quality inspection reports (PMI reports, customer reports and warranty reports) and intimate the same to the concerned authorities for taking the necessary corrective action
• Dispose rejection like Line rejection, PMI rejection, Customer rejection, Warranty Rejection and prepare necessary reports
• Ensure that all output classified as Hold is sent back to the production team immediately
• Review the rejected output and send the necessary output to scrap
• Follow up for implementation of quality related improvement projects at the plant including customer projects as well as internal improvement initiatives

Ensure that all quality related compliances and standards for the plant are met
