Masai is looking for an AVP - Curriculum and Pedagogy to lead curriculum strategy, pedagogy, academic quality, and learning effectiveness across programs. The role will focus on building industry-relevant, outcome-driven curriculum while ensuring strong learner engagement, academic rigor, and alignment with institute partners and hiring market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the curriculum roadmap across programs, ensuring alignment with learner outcomes, industry expectations, and institute partner requirements.
- Lead the design and improvement of curriculum structures, learning paths, modules, projects, assessments, and capstone experiences.
- Strengthen pedagogy across live classes, project-based learning, practice, assessments, feedback loops, and academic interventions.
- Partner with institute partners, universities, and academic stakeholders to co-create, review, and improve curriculum for joint programs.
- Set academic quality standards for content, assessments, grading rubrics, learner progression, and delivery consistency.
- Use learner performance data, feedback, placement insights, and partner inputs to continuously improve curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Work closely with Product, Business, Operations, Placements, Data, and Leadership teams to support program success and new launches.
- Lead and mentor curriculum designers, instructional designers, academic leads, SMEs, and pedagogy teams.
- Create scalable systems for curriculum creation, reviews, versioning, quality checks, and continuous improvement.
Must Have
- 10+ years of experience in curriculum design, pedagogy, instructional design, academic leadership, or education program management.
- Strong experience building outcome-driven curriculum for adult learners, higher education, skilling, edtech, or professional learning programs.
- Experience working with institute partners, universities, or external academic stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of instructional design, assessment design, learner engagement, academic quality, and learning effectiveness.
- Experience leading curriculum, pedagogy, instructional design, or academic teams.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership, ambiguous environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in tech education, coding bootcamps, data programs, business programs, or employability-focused education.
- Exposure to AI-enabled learning, LMS platforms, learning analytics, or adaptive learning.
- Experience working with hiring partners, industry experts, or employer-facing teams.
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth education business.
