Job summary

Job Designation / Title – Manager – Curriculum Design & Development

The role will involve designing scalable learning experiences for young individuals aged 18 to 25 years, integrating life skills, employability skills, digital literacy, vocational/domain skilling, and emerging AI awareness into training programmes.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving curriculum strategy, content innovation, pedagogy enhancement, and integration of digital and AI‑enabled learning approaches across offline, online, and blended learning ecosystems. The role requires strong expertise in vocational education and skilling frameworks, instructional design, and workforce readiness programmes aligned with industry requirements and Qualification Packs (QPs)/National Occupational Standards (NOS).

The incumbent will work closely with internal teams, sector experts, employers, skilling partners, technology providers, and implementation teams to develop future‑ready learning programmes that enhance employability outcomes for youth from underserved communities. The manager will lead and deliver the required results with minimal supervision.

The role will also involve building organisational capability in AI awareness and responsible use of AI tools for learning, content development, productivity, and youth engagement.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Lead the design, development, review, and standardisation of experiential learning content for livelihood and vocational skilling programmes.
  • Develop trainer manuals, learner handbooks, facilitator guides, assessments, toolkits, and blended learning delivery mechanisms.
  • Integrate life skills, employability skills, digital literacy, vocational/domain skilling, and AI awareness into curriculum frameworks.
  • Ensure curriculum alignment with NSQF, Qualification Packs (QPs), National Occupational Standards (NOS), and industry requirements.
  • Develop age‑appropriate, contextualised, and learner‑centred content for youth from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
AI Integration & Emerging Technologies
  • Drive the integration of AI awareness and foundational AI concepts into youth skilling programmes.
  • Explore and recommend AI‑enabled tools for content creation, learning personalisation, learner engagement, and productivity enhancement.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, EdTech, digital learning ecosystems, and workforce transformation.
Technical Expertise & Digital Learning
  • Lead the design and development of CBT, WBT, e‑learning, instructor‑led, self‑learning, and blended‑learning modules.
  • Review digital storyboards, multimedia learning assets, assessments, and content flow for online courses.
  • Ensure accessibility, engagement, and learner effectiveness across digital and blended learning programmes.
Vocational & Industry Alignment
  • Develop and customise vocational/domain skilling content aligned with industry expectations and workforce trends.
  • Collaborate with sector skill councils, employers, and skilling partners to ensure relevance and employability outcomes.
  • Incorporate workplace readiness, professional behaviour, and sector‑specific competencies into training programmes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams, trainers, field staff, employers, sector experts, and external partners for curriculum development and implementation.
  • Mentor and guide curriculum developers, content writers, and instructional designers.
  • Conduct training and orientation sessions for trainers and programme teams on curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Gather field feedback and data insights to continuously strengthen programme quality and learner outcomes.
Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor curriculum effectiveness and learning outcomes through assessments, field observations, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Regularly review and refine programme content to improve placement, retention, and learner engagement outcomes.
  • Adapt content and delivery strategies based on labour market trends, learner needs, and implementation learnings.

  • Prior experience in the social development/skilling sector preferred
  • Experience working with youth from underserved communities preferred
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project locations across India
