Newton School aims to bridge the employability gap for graduates through its personalized learning platform. We are building an online university and solving the deep problem of employability of graduates with a core team from IITs and IIMs and industry experience at Unacademy, Inmobi, and others. About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Director of Academic Programs to lead and scale our Agentic AI and Generative AI educational tracks. In this role, you will move beyond managing single modules to owning the entire program strategy. You will bridge the gap between deep AI engineering and high-level leadership—defining what we teach, scaling a team of curriculum experts, and ensuring our programs deliver massive value to both our learners and the business.

Responsibilities

• Program Strategy & Vision: Own the curriculum roadmap for both technical and generalist AI tracks. Ensure our content stays ahead of the curve by rapidly integrating new breakthroughs (e.g., Multi-Agent frameworks, MCP, complex RAG pipelines).
• Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing squad of program managers, content creators, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Quality & Delivery: Oversee the creation of production-grade capstone projects, assignments, and evaluation frameworks that mirror real-world AI engineering challenges.
• Cross-Functional Growth: Partner with marketing, admissions, and enterprise sales to position the program effectively. Work closely with placement teams to align our curriculum with what global employers are hiring for.
• Data-Driven Outcomes: Track learner engagement, graduation rates, and feedback to continuously improve program quality and student success.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of total experience, with 3+ years leading teams in EdTech (preferred), higher education, or corporate technical training.
• AI Expertise: Strong, practical knowledge of Python, LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows (e.g., CrewAI, LangGraph), and API deployments. You don’t need to code daily, but you must speak the language fluently.
• Curriculum Design: A proven track record of building technical educational products or deep-dive learning experiences from scratch.
• Execution & Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, handle a budget, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field is preferred.
