Job summary

XBattery Energy Private Limited is seeking a validation engineer to execute testing of BMS, battery packs and PCBs. You will develop plans, run test cases, and document results to ensure quality and compliance across EV and energy storage devices.

The role involves operating lab equipment, analyzing data, and collaborating with HW and FW teams to drive continuous product improvement in a fast-growing energy tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, EEE, Instrumentation or related field.
• Hands-on hardware validation and embedded systems testing experience welcomed.
• Experience with BMS, EV, battery or power electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute validation testing of BMS, battery packs, PCBs, and related electronic products.
• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and procedures based on requirements.
• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and environmental testing.
• Identify, analyze, document, and report defects with hardware/firmware teams.
• Operate test equipment, collect data, and prepare validation reports.
• Maintain validation records and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Provide validation feedback and technical recommendations for product improvement.

Xbattery is a fast-growing battery technology company focused on building indigenous Battery Management Systems (BMS), lithium battery packs, and energy storage solutions for Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage Systems, Defence, and Industrial applications.

• Execute validation testing of Battery Management Systems (BMS), battery packs, PCBs, and related electronic products.
• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and test procedures based on product requirements.
• Perform functional, performance, reliability, and environmental testing to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Identify, analyze, document, and report defects while working closely with Hardware and Firmware teams to resolve issues.
• Operate test equipment, collect test data, and prepare detailed validation reports.
• Maintain validation records, test documentation, and ensure adherence to quality standards and engineering processes.
• Support continuous product improvement by providing validation feedback and technical recommendations.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in Hardware Validation, Product Testing, Embedded Systems Validation, Electronics Testing, or a related domain.
• Experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS), EV, Battery, Power Electronics, or Embedded Systems will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and hardware validation.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, debugging, and fault analysis.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, CAN analyzers, and data loggers.
• Basic understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and lithium-ion battery technology.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
