Job summary

Optum India is hiring an experienced Agile Product Owner to drive value across onboarding for clients and accelerate platform adoption. You will partner with technology and business teams to translate requirements into features, write acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog in an agile environment.

The role requires 3+ years as an Agile Product Owner, SAFe or Scrum experience, plus 2+ years in healthcare. Rally and Aha! experience are preferred, with Hyderabad offices in view.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner.
  • 3+ years of SAFe or Scrum Agile experience.
  • 2+ years of healthcare industry experience.
  • Healthcare technology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Enable Self Servicing by Business for Onboarding new clients and accelerate platform adoption.
  • Provide insights to drive innovation and quicker decision-making for internal users.
  • Apply agile product management principles including value analysis, road mapping, backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business users to leverage technology to advance goals.
  • Write features and acceptance criteria for backlog items.
  • Manage product backlogs and refine items; prioritize backlog items.
  • Facilitate effective agile ceremonies (planning, daily SCRUM, retrospectives).
  • Determine dependencies and negotiate solutions.
  • Comply with employment contracts and company policies; adapt to changing business needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • This role plays a vital role in enabling Self Servicing by Business for Onboarding new clients and reduce the time to market by users, hence resulting in accelerating platform and product adoptions. Identifying critical product dependencies across client
  • This role delivers direct clinical and financial value by providing insights to drive innovation and quicker decision-making strategy for internal users. *AI AlIGNMENT* AI First Leader *AI ALIGNMENT DETAIL* This role aligns best with the AI‑First Leader profile.Drive AI First thought process for new features and ensure AI solutions are efficient and effective *RISK* Clients will swirl on what and how to adopt the platform impacting speed to market.   • Apply agile product management principles doing customer value analysis, product road mapping, product backlog item refining, product backlog item prioritization, and may serve as an agile team product owner
  • Work with technology teams and business users to understand how technology can be most effectively leveraged to advance business goals
  • Work with tech teams, business users, and business partners to understand what is required to drive value
  • Write features and acceptance criteria
  • Manage product backlogs (refine product backlog items, prioritize product backlog items)
  • Ensure agile and team ceremonies are effective (planning, daily SCRUM, retrospectives)
  • Determine dependencies and negotiate solutions
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience as an Agile Product Owner
  • 3+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner
  • 3+ years of SAFE or scrum agile experience
  • 2+ years of healthcare industry experience
  • Healthcare technology experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Product manager experience / product management methodology knowledge
  • HL7 and / or FHIR experience
  • Experience with Rally (agile software) (1+ years)
  • Experience with Aha! (product road mapping tool)
