Job summary

Embee Software in Kolkata invites an Associate Technical Consultant-Azure to design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The role covers compute, networking, identity, security, backup, monitoring, automation, and Windows/Linux environments.

You will support Azure Virtual Desktop deployments, AD/Entra ID, RBAC, VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and cloud security, while preparing technical documentation and assisting customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and services.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/WVD) and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Strong knowledge of RBAC, identity management, and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments and support virtual desktop deployments.
• Configure AD/Azure AD, RBAC, and access management; implement security policies.
• Configure VNets, subnets, NSGs, and Route Tables; manage VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity.
• Implement and manage Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Front Door.
• Manage Azure Storage accounts, backup, automation, and DR solutions.
• Monitor Azure with Log Analytics and related tools; troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, security, and performance.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Azure Technical Consultant to design, implement, manage, and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Azure compute, networking, identity, security, backup, monitoring, automation, and Windows/Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/WVD) environments and support virtual desktop deployments.
• Configure and administer Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) .
• Implement and manage Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) , user access, permissions, and security policies.
• Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNet) , subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Route Tables.
• Implement Azure connectivity solutions, including Site-to-Site VPN, Point-to-Site VPN, and ExpressRoute .
• Configure and support Azure traffic distribution and application delivery services, including:
• Azure Load Balancer
• Azure Application Gateway
• Azure Traffic Manager
• Azure Front Door
• Manage Azure Storage Accounts , including storage configuration, access, and security.
• Configure and maintain Azure Automation Accounts and automate routine operational tasks.
• Implement and manage Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions using:

• Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud to strengthen cloud security and monitor security recommendations.
• Implement and manage Azure Managed Identities for secure access to Azure resources.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems hosted on Azure.
• Manage system updates and patching using Azure Update Manager (Update Management Center) .
• Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, networking, security, identity, backup, and performance-related issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide technical support to customers and internal teams.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• Good knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/WVD) .
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory .
• Strong understanding of Azure RBAC , Managed Identities, and access management.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, including VNet, NSG, Route Tables, VPN, and ExpressRoute .
• Experience with Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Azure Front Door.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Storage, Automation, Backup, Snapshots, and Recovery Services Vault.
• Knowledge of Azure monitoring and security tools, including Log Analytics and Microsoft Defender for Cloud .
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Experience with Azure Update Manager and patch management.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate will be preferred.
• Experience working in a customer-facing technical consulting or cloud support role.
