Job summary

Kotak Neo is seeking an entry-level institutional equities research analyst in Mumbai. You will assist analysts in analyzing industries and companies, review financial statements, build models, and support report writing and client presentations.

The role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the drive to grow into a writing analyst role. 0–2 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of institutional equities research experience.
• Post Graduate in Finance from a Premier Institute / CA (Rank Holder or first attempt).
• Natural flair and understanding of stock markets.
• Excellent research and financial analysis skills and ability to pick new concepts quickly.
• Excellent written communication skills & high attention to detail.
• Has to be a self-starter, self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Support the research analysts in the analysis of industry groups and individual companies in an assigned sector.
• Review and interpret balance sheets, cash flow statements, income statements, calculate financial ratios.
• Perform broad quantitative and qualitative analysis and research, using historical model building and developing projections.
• Maintain databases and spreadsheet models to provide relative value analysis and recommend investment opportunities.
• Support in the Report-writing including initiating coverage reports, company profiles, quarterly updates and sector reports; prepare other deliverables such as client presentations.
• Expected to write reports independently, to be eventually migrated to a writing analyst.
