Job description

Role Description:

The role involves creating and maintaining financial models, analysing company performance, engaging with management through calls and meetings to develop investment hypotheses, tracking and updating industry and macroeconomic data, monitoring holding companies, and presenting investment ideas to Analysts and Portfolio Managers in line with the firm s investment philosophy.

Core Responsibilities:

• Creation of financial models and analysing companies historic performance based on these models.
• Interact with the management of companies, attend conferences/management calls, and build investment hypotheses and present to the internal team of analysts and Portfolio Managers.
• Maintain and update the financial models on a quarterly basis, and update the team on any new developments on the performance of these companies.
• Gather, populate, and analyse industry-level and macro-economic data that is used by the research team on a regular basis. The role also involves periodic updating of these datasets.
• Work with the research team to analyse industry and company-specific trends, gather information, and enhance the research process.
• Actively track holding companies - quarterly calls/management meetings/annual report review.
• Pitch new investment ideas to the fund management team as per the investment philosophy.
