Job summary

Korn Ferry is seeking an Associate Recruiter to support maternity cover in Penang, Malaysia, joining the global RPO team serving Direct Labour roles in manufacturing. The role focuses on candidate sourcing, screening and building a strong talent pipeline in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have recruitment or sourcing experience, familiarity with JobStreet and LinkedIn, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills. Hybrid working arrangement available.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and resourceful Associate Recruiter to support recruitment activities across Batu Kawan Industrial Park and Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Penang.

In this role, you will focus primarily on candidate sourcing, screening and talent pipeline development, supporting hiring for Direct Labour (DL) positions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Contract: Maternity cover, November 2026 – February 2027
• Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day working from home
• Availability: Immediate availability preferred, with the ability to commit to the full contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively source, identify and screen candidates, primarily for Direct Labour (DL) positions within the manufacturing environment.
• Support Recruiters in building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines to meet ongoing and upcoming hiring requirements.
• Utilise a variety of sourcing channels, including JobStreet, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, job boards and other creative sourcing methods, to attract suitable candidates.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess suitability, availability, salary expectations and interest in opportunities.
• Work closely with Recruiters and hiring stakeholders to understand recruitment requirements and align sourcing activities with hiring priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with active and passive candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Explore innovative and effective sourcing strategies to reach candidates in a competitive manufacturing talent market.
• Maintain accurate candidate information and recruitment activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Monitor sourcing effectiveness and contribute ideas to improve candidate engagement, pipeline quality and recruitment efficiency.
• Collaborate with the wider Korn Ferry RPO team to support recruitment targets and hiring timelines.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in recruitment, talent sourcing, candidate screening or HR-related activities would be advantageous.
• Experience supporting high-volume recruitment or Direct Labour (DL) hiring within manufacturing, semiconductor or industrial environments would be highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as JobStreet, LinkedIn, social media and other job boards.
• Resourceful and creative in identifying candidates through different sourcing channels, including referrals and local talent networks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage candidates over the phone and through digital platforms.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sourcing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a recruitment team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work across Batu Kawan Industrial Park and Kulim Hi-Tech Park, with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home.
• Immediately available or able to start in November 2026, with a commitment to the full maternity cover period through February 2027.
