Job summary

Masters’ Union in India seeks an Academic Program Manager for the School of AI to mentor students building real-world AI products and agentic systems within the PGP in Applied AI & Agentic Systems. You will own the student build experience, ensure technical rigor, and align projects with industry standards.

You will collaborate with Curriculum and internal teams to design practical, sequenced challenges, monitor progress, and help students move from concept to shipping AI solutions that matter

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI systems beyond the prototype stage.
• Qualification in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier institute.
• 3–4 years of hands-on software engineering experience building real-world AI applications, products, or systems.
• Genuine interest in mentoring, teaching, and helping others become better builders.

Responsibilities

• Guiding students as they build real-world AI products, applications, and agentic systems.
• Supporting students through problem framing, technical architecture, tooling choices, debugging, and shipping.
• Establishing the technical bar for student projects and evaluating outputs against real-world product standards.
• Working with Curriculum team to design practical challenges that are technically sound and sequenced effectively.
• Monitoring progress, identifying blockers early, and continuously improving the student experience across cohorts.
• Acting as the technical resource on AI and Data Science for Admissions, Growth, and Career Services.

About the Role

We are looking for a builder-turned-mentor who can work hands-on with students as they build real-world AI products, applications, and agentic systems as part of the PGP in Applied AI & Agentic Systems. The Academic Program Manager will own the student build experience for the School of AI, combining hands-on technical mentorship with program execution. The role will work closely with students, the Curriculum team, and internal stakeholders to ensure that student projects are technically rigorous, well-sequenced, and built to real-world product standards. The role supports the PGP in Applied AI & Agentic Systems at Masters’ Union, helping students move from learning concepts to building and shipping useful AI products and systems.

Specifically, this role will involve

• Guiding students as they build real-world AI products, applications, and agentic systems.

Ideal candidate will have

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI systems beyond the prototype stage. A collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and the ability to translate industry best practices into impactful, hands-on learning experiences for students.
• Qualification in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier institute.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in software engineering experience building real-world AI applications, products, or systems. Coursework and side projects alone will not be sufficient.
• A genuine interest in mentoring, teaching, and helping others become better builders.
