UMI Capital Services seeks a highly analytical Product Associate to join our core execution team. You will support transaction structuring, cashflow modelling, and the preparation of term sheets and information memorandums for debt products.

This role involves collaborating with rating agencies, legal teams, trustees, and investors to ensure accurate models and compliant disclosures, while managing tight timelines across multiple deals.

Formación

  • 0-2 years of experience in cashflow modelling, structured finance, or product control in Indian NBFC/bank/rating agency/debt syndication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA/Macros is a strong plus) with proven modelling ability.
  • Understanding of Indian debt market, NBFC operations, securitization, RBI/SEBI regulations.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking a highly analytical, diligent and a detail-oriented Product Associate to join our core execution team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our transaction structuring and execution / settlement process. Your primary responsibility will be to build financial cashflow models, draft institutional-grade term sheets for the above-mentioned debt products and perform tasks as defined under the scope of Job Description highlighted above.

Key Responsibilities
1. Pool Parameter Checking and Cashflow Modelling
  • Handling large- scale loan / asset specific pool data - Microfinance Institution Pools, CV/PV/2W Pools, Mortgaged Backed / Non-Mortgaged backed Loan Against Property Pools, Housing Loan Pools, Personal Loan Pools, Gold Loan Pools etc., checking / analyzing these against (a) the applicable regulatory criteria (MHP, MRR, Minimum Balance Tenure etc.) and (b) other investor centric criteria and sharing across the cleaned pool file to select investors for subsequent evaluation.
  • Structured Finance: Build, test, and maintain robust cashflow models for Pass-Through Certificates (PTCs) as per different structures prevalent in market ( TIUP- Timely Interest Ultimate Principal, TITP- Timely Interest Timely Principal, UIUP- Ultimate Interest Ultimate Principal, Replenishment Structure for short Tenure Loan Assets, at PAR, Premium, Discount- depending on the credit and commercial viability and ensuring sufficient credit enhancements to achieve a desired rating) and Direct Assignment (DA) transactions
  • Corporate Debt: Develop precise repayment schedules and cashflow models for Term Loans and Corporate Bonds/NCDs, accounting for varied interest structures (fixed, floating, resets) and moratorium periods.
2. Product Structuring & Documentation
  • Term Sheet Drafting: Draft, review, and finalize the Term Sheets for Term Loans, Bonds, PTCs, and DA transactions, ensuring alignment with commercial discussions and the latest extant regulatory guidelines ( RBI, SEBI as applicable)
  • Information Memorandums/ Key Information Memorandums: Provide assistance to clients, legal advisors, other counterparties (as per the inputs of the investors) in furnishing required information needed to draft and complete the information memorandums / disclosure documents / key information documents for given products- PTC and /or NCDs prior to the transaction settlement
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Liaise with the rating agencies to provide necessary cashflow data and structure explanations for transaction rating assignments.
  • Also, coordinate with legal teams, trustees, and institutional investors (Banks, Mutual Funds, NBFCs) to resolve model or term sheet or any disclosure document related queries during the due diligence phase.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
A. Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in cashflow modelling, structured finance, or product control within an Indian NBFC, Bank, Rating Agency, or Debt Syndication firm.
  • Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA/Macros is a strong plus) with a proven track record of building financial models from scratch.
  • Domain Knowledge: A good understanding of the Indian debt market ecosystem, how an NBFC business works, securitization structures, RBI and SEBI regulations.
B. Education
  • 10th: Minimum 80%
  • 12th: Minimum 80%
  • Graduation: Bachelors degree in Finance from a top-tier/reputed institution.
C. Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking with an eye for detail, diligent.
  • Ability to work under tight transaction timelines while managing multiple deals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex structures to external stakeholders.
