About The Team

Purplle’s Product Management team builds the technology products that power a comprehensive e-commerce platform. The team constantly ships new supply chain features that are scalable, reduce cost, and enhance customer experience. As a team, every individual is expected to make a significant, measurable impact on the business.

About The Role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager who will own the product charter for B2B logistics, covering how we move goods to retailers, distributors, modern trade, marketplaces, and institutional buyers, as well as stock movement between our plants and warehouses. You will work at the intersection of product, logistics operations, and finance systems, turning the needs of operations and business stakeholders into reliable, well-built features. This is an individual contributor role with end to end ownership of the B2B logistics roadmap and its business impact. You will work closely with backend engineering, the SAP team, operations, and logistics partners to deliver it.

Key Responsibilities
B2B Logistics Product Ownership
  • Own the product roadmap for B2B logistics flows, including customer orders, stock transfers between locations, and B2B returns, prioritised by business impact.
  • Translate operational problems into clear Product Requirement Documents, use cases, and acceptance criteria for engineering and QA.
  • Lead initiatives such as automatic carrier enablement for B2B shipments and the CPG forward and returns flow, from problem definition to rollout and adoption.
  • Partner with backend engineering to design, build, and roll out new features, and drive adoption with operations teams.
  • Maintain a separate B2B layer for carrier and logistics partner integrations, and coordinate with the B2C logistics owner on anything shared.
Delivery Reliability and Network Performance
  • Own delivery promise reliability for B2B orders, defining and tracking the metrics that show whether commitments to customers are met.
  • Improve network cost, capacity, and delivery performance across carriers and lanes through structured product changes.
  • Identify workflow gaps and inefficiencies on the ground and define improvements that scale.
Compliance and ERP (SAP)
  • Own B2B compliance flows such as e-way bills and invoicing, and keep them aligned with SAP.
  • Support integration and data consistency between the warehouse systems, logistics partners, and SAP for sales, stock movement, and returns.
  • Work with engineering, finance, and operations to debug system-level discrepancies and drive root causes to closure.
Governance, Analytics, and Stakeholders
  • Drive operations governance and risk reduction by defining clear processes, escalation paths, and checks that prevent repeat failures.
  • Use logistics data and dashboards to track performance, surface insights, and drive data-informed product decisions.
  • Delegate and accelerate effectively, and push repeatable manual work toward automation.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to operations, business, and engineering stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills And Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a product, analytics, or supply-chain technology role.
  • BE / B.Tech from a reputed institute. MBA is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong product fundamentals, including the ability to write clear PRDs and use cases, prioritise by impact, and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Working understanding of ERP systems such as SAP and how sales, invoicing, and compliance data flow through them.
  • Solid data analysis fundamentals and the ability to understand discrepancies across systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills across product, engineering, operations, and finance teams.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to drive a problem from identification to resolution.
Good-to-Have Skills
  • Exposure to logistics, 3PL, carrier management, or B2B supply chain operations.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and comfort querying datasets in a cloud warehouse such as BigQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with BI or data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Metabase.
  • Familiarity with e-way bill and GST compliance in the Indian supply chain context.
  • Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems or quick-commerce operations.
What You Will Gain
  • End to end ownership of the B2B logistics charter, from roadmap to measurable impact.
  • A role at the intersection of product, supply chain, and technology, with real influence on the roadmap.
  • Deep exposure to carrier integrations, compliance flows, and SAP across a high-volume e-commerce supply chain.
