Job summary

Samyutha Info Technologies is seeking an Associate Network Administrator (Fresher) to support design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise networking across on-premises offices, data centers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. You will work with switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs to enable secure, scalable networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• CCNA/Network+ certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with switches and routers.
• Familiarity with firewalls (OPNsense, Palo Alto).
• Knowledge of VPN technologies and basic cloud networking.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and controllers.
• Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage firewalls and firewall rules; implement NAT and security zones.
• Set up and manage Client VPNs and Site-to-Site VPNs; monitor VPN health.
• Configure networking for virtualization platforms and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Support Hub-and-Spoke networking and network migrations, upgrades, and DR setups.
• Monitor network health and performance; troubleshoot outages and connectivity issues.
• Document networks, diagrams, and configuration records; provide L2 support.

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Network Administrator (Fresher) to support the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise networking infrastructure across on-premises offices, data centers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. The role involves hands‑on work with switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking, while supporting secure and scalable network architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Setup & Management

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and controllers
• Perform basic network design, cabling validation, and device commissioning
• Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of network infrastructure

Firewall & Security Management

• Configure and manage firewalls such as OPNsense and Palo Alto
• Implement firewall rules, NAT policies, security zones, and logging
• Assist in troubleshooting security incidents and network connectivity issues
• Apply best practices for network segmentation and perimeter security

VPN & Remote Access

• Set up and manage Client VPNs using firewall appliances and cloud-native services
• Configure Site-to-Site VPNs between on-premises data centers, branch offices, and cloud environments
• Monitor VPN health, performance, and connectivity

Virtualization & Cloud Networking

• Configure networking for virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM, etc.)
• Assist in cloud networking configuration (AWS / Azure / GCP basics)
• Work with VPC/VNet, subnets, route tables, gateways, security groups, and NACLs
• Support Hybrid connectivity between on‑prem and cloud

Advanced Networking Concepts

• Assist in implementing Hub-and-Spoke networking architectures
• Participate in network migrations, upgrades, and DR setups

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Documentation

• Monitor network health and performance using tools and logs
• Troubleshoot network outages, latency, packet loss, and routing issues
• network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records
• Provide L2 support and elevate to senior engineers when required

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, Routing & Switching
• Hands‑on experience with Switches & Routers (any major vendor)
• Experience with Firewalls (OPNsense, Palo Alto – preferred)
• Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN)
• Basic understanding of Cloud Networking (AWS / Azure)
• Familiarity with Virtualization networking

Tools & Technologies (Good to Have)

• Network monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, etc.)
• Basic scripting or automation exposure (Bash / PowerShell – bonus)
• Understanding of network security best practices

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• CCNA / Network+ (preferred)
• Firewall or Cloud certifications are a plus
