Job summary

Digital Edge DC in Navi Mumbai seeks an Electrical or Mechanical engineer with 12+ years onsite MEPF experience to oversee design coordination, schedule management, construction methodology, QA/QC, and testing & commissioning for designated floors.

Reporting to the Senior MEP Manager, you will liaise with design consultants, vendors, and contractors, ensure safety and quality, certify progress bills, and drive timely completion for critical data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ Diploma graduate with minimum 12 years of onsite experience in installation, testing and commissioning of MEPF works.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite experience overseeing MEPF activities for a data center is essential.
• Good knowledge of latest data center/hyperscale standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact (SPOC) for MEPF works for on-site management, coordination, quality and safety from start to IST testing.
• Coordinate between design/consultants and contractors/vendors to complete works.
• Manage timelines, resources, material and equipment, and sequencing to ensure safe, quality delivery on schedule.

What we need:

Reporting to Senior MEP Manager. This role will require the candidates to oversee the on-site construction activities related to design coordination, schedule management, construction methodology and sequence, quality assurance, EHS, testing and commissioning for all MEPF services for designated floors/building areas as assigned by Senior MEP Manager. This role will be based at site in Navi Mumbai.

Key responsibilities:

• Single point of contact (SPOC) for MEPF works responsible for the management, coordination, quality and safety execution of works on site from commencement until the completion of IST testing.
• Technical specialist and link between design/consultants through to contractors' vendors and completing with T&C consultants.
• Accountability of timelines and schedule management start-to-end having to manage resource deployment, material and equipment coordination, sequence of construction to ensure the construction outcome is achieved safely to the required quality standard within the defined time.
• Provide site related certifications in a timely manner for all MEPF activities including QA/QC checks, install quantification vetting, install methodology review, best practice demonstration.
• Ensure effective and well managed coordination between engaged agencies LLE suppliers, contractors, subcontractors to ensure well-ordered installation and sequence of activities.
• Review and provide feedback on mockups, samples, work/ method statement, safety plans, work permits, and risk mitigation plans for electrical equipment installations.
• Review testing & commissioning plans and scripts, oversee commissioning of electrical and mechanical equipment. Review testing & commissioning results and certify for compliance.
• Certify running bills, installation compliance with defined quality standards.
• Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental, quality, energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ Diploma graduate with Minimum 12 years of onsite experience in installation, testing, commission of MEPF works.
• Minimum of 5 years of onsite experience in overseeing MEPF activities for a data center is essential.
• Good knowledge on the latest requirements data center / hyperscale standards is preferred.
• Good spoken & written communications skills are essential.
