Job summary

GMR Group is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cellular networks and RF infrastructure for smart meters. You will coordinate with telecom service providers and system integrators to ensure regulatory compliance and high service reliability.

The role requires 6–8 years in telecom/RF, with proficiency in planning and optimization tools and strong knowledge of MPLS, ILL, and LAN topology.

Qualifications

• B.Tech (Preferably CS) or MCA.
• 6–8 years of total experience in communications domain (Cellular / RF).
• Proficient in planning and optimization tools.
• Sound knowledge of MPLS, ILL and LAN topology and security; aware of telecom regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead designing, deploying, and maintaining cellular networks and RF infrastructure for meters.
• Coordinate with TSPs and SIs for troubleshooting and compliance with industry standards.
• Improve signal strength in low-signal areas and ensure project SLAs are met.

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

Complete Technology support in design, deploy, and maintaining cellular networks and RF infrastructure for smart meters to Operations team for the said location.

ORGANISATION CHART

IT Head --> Associate Manager - Communications --> Reports To --> Position Title

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES

• SAT / SLA Approval of each meter lot from Discom.

• Lead designing, deploying, and maintaining cellular networks and RF infrastructure

  Liaison with TSP and SIs for troubleshooting and resolving network issues and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  Liaison with TSP and SIs for signal strength improvements in low signal area

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)

• To conduct monthly SAT for the maximum meter numbers possible by strong coordination with operations team.
• Project SLAs should be met on daily / monthly basis.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Hardware, Software, Communication Tech vendor/partners, Network service providers

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Technology Head, Head IT, Operations Head & team, Business Team (If required)

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B.Tech (Preferably Computer Science) / MCA

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

6-8 years of total experience in communications domain (Cellular / RF)

Candidate be proficient in using tools such as planning and optimization software

Sound knowledge of MPLS, ILL and LAN topology and security, and familiar with the regulatory environment of the telecommunications industry
