Job summary

Esyasoft Technologies Private Limited in India seeks a senior NOC Lead to oversee 24x7 monitoring of the AMI ecosystem. You will manage end-to-end meter communication health, data acquisition, and system uptime while coordinating with field teams, technology partners, and utility stakeholders.

You will lead a team of NOC engineers, drive incident management, and deliver dashboards for KPIs and SLA adherence. Strong experience in AMI, HES, MDM, and network operations is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, telecom, CS or related engineering.
• Certifications in Networking, IT Operations, or Project Management preferred.
• 8–12 years' experience in AMI, Smart Metering, Telecom, NOC or utility operations.
• 3–5 years of experience leading NOC/NOMS teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Network Operations & Monitoring Center for AMI operations.
• Monitor end-to-end AMI infrastructure including meters, HES, MDM, and networks.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of meter communication, data acquisition, and performance.
• Track network availability, communication success rates, and KPIs.
• Manage incident detection, troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, telecoms, and field teams for issue closure.
• Analyze communication failures, outage trends, and bottlenecks.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and data availability.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor SLA performance and adherence to contractual commitments.
• Support utility customers with operational insights and status updates.
• Lead NOC engineers and analysts with shift operations and resource planning.
• Implement process improvements and automation to enhance monitoring.

The NOC Lead is responsible for overseeing the 24x7 monitoring, management, and operational performance of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring network availability, meter communication health, system uptime, incident management, and seamless coordination between field teams, technology partners, and utility stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Network Operations & Monitoring Center (NOC/NOMS) for AMISP operations.
• Monitor end-to-end AMI infrastructure, including Smart Meters, DCUs, Head End System (HES), MDM, and communication networks.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of meter communication, data acquisition, and system performance.
• Track network availability, communication success rates, and operational KPIs.
• Manage incident detection, troubleshooting, escalation management, and timely resolution.
• Coordinate with OEMs, technology vendors, telecom providers, and field operations teams for issue closure.
• Analyze communication failures, outage trends, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve network reliability and data availability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor SLA performance and ensure adherence to contractual commitments.
• Support utility customers and internal stakeholders by providing operational insights and status updates.
• Lead a team of NOC engineers and analysts, ensuring effective shift operations and resource management.
• Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance monitoring efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related Engineering discipline.
• Certifications in Networking, IT Operations, or Project Management are preferred.

Experience

• 8 to 12 years of experience in AMI, Smart Metering, Telecom, Network Operations, Utility Operations, or NOC environments.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience leading NOC/NOMS teams.
• Experience in AMISP, Smart Grid, or large-scale utility technology operations is highly preferred.
