Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Senior Category Manager to drive the plastics category strategy across regions. You will deliver spend analysis, supplier mapping, and executive insights to support global negotiations and cost optimization.

Collaborate with regional sourcing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and finance to validate technical decisions and ensure consistent execution. A Bachelor's degree and 12–15 years of experience are required, along with strong Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Experience supporting global or regional sourcing in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Support global plastics category strategy with spend analysis and supplier mapping.
• Assist negotiations with cost models and business cases; track renewals.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities; support AOP commitments and savings validation.
• Manage plastics category governance: meeting cadence, pipeline, tracking, and QBR prep.
• Collaborate with regional sourcing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and finance to ensure execution across regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the global plastics category strategy by delivering spend analysis, market intelligence, technology and supplier mapping, dashboards, and executive-level insights.
• Support global and regional negotiations through cost models, benchmarks, business cases, and structured negotiation preparation; track contract renewals and compliance.
• Identify, size, and track cost-reduction, productivity, and metal-to-plastic conversion opportunities; support AOP commitments and savings validation with finance.
• Manage plastics category and transformation governance, including meeting cadence, project pipeline, materials, action tracking, and supplier/QBR review preparation.
• Partner with regional sourcing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and finance teams to support technical validation and consistent execution of the global category strategy across regions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 12~15 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain analytics, or related roles.
• Experience supporting global or regional sourcing teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, engineered plastics, resins, molded or extruded components, or related engineered-component supply bases.
• Exposure to metal-to-plastic transformation, value engineering, global negotiations, contract management, or productivity programs.
• Experience working with global stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and Americas.
