Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI) in Pune seeks a Procurement & Supplier Management professional to support global supplier networks through sourcing, costing, and contract activities. You will assist supplier surveys, cost analysis, and negotiations to achieve YoY savings.

Coordinate with engineering, ASD, and manufacturing on new product launches, localization strategies, and process audits to hit cost targets and quality standards.

• Assist in conducting supplier surveys and capacity studies to evaluate vendor capabilities.
• Support the cross-functional supplier selection process to ensure all technical and process requirements are met.
• Maintain and update the supplier database, purchasing records, and related procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with SDE, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to gather inputs for price settlements.
• Perform part-level elemental costing and assist in price negotiations with vendors.
• Prepare basic cost estimates and track project budgets.
• Support the implementation of annual supplier terms, including YoY cost reductions, warranties, spare parts, tooling ownership, payment terms, and inventory norms.
• Assist in program management for new product launches to ensure milestones meet cost and delivery targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and ASD teams during product development.
• Provide data and insights to help senior team members develop long-term commodity and localization strategies.
• Share relevant supply chain data with the global commodity team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily supplier issues related to part deliveries and logistics.
• Support engineering change management and VA/VE proposals to drive cost savings.
• Execute localized sourcing plans to reduce lead times and logistics costs.
• Identify critical manufacturing processes at the supplier end and support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Help implement supplier rationalization plans to consolidate the vendor base and improve cost efficiency.

Main Responsibility:

Supplier Sourcing & Selection Support

• Supplier Assessments: Assist in conducting supplier surveys and capacity studies to evaluate vendor capabilities.
• Selection Process: Support the cross-functional supplier selection process to ensure all technical and process requirements are met.
• Database Management: Maintain and update the supplier database, purchasing records, and related procurement documentation.

Costing, Negotiation & Contract Management

• Price Settlement: Coordinate with SDE (Supplier Development Engineering), Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to gather inputs for price settlements.
• Elemental Costing: Perform part-level elemental costing and assist in price negotiations with vendors.
• Budget Tracking: Prepare basic cost estimates and track project budgets.
• Contract Administration: Support the implementation of annual supplier terms, including year-over-year (YoY) cost reductions, warranties, spare parts, tooling ownership, payment terms, and inventory norms.

New Product Launch & Program Management

• Project Tracking: Assist in program management for new product launches to ensure milestones meet cost and delivery targets.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and Advanced Supplier Development (ASD) teams during product development.
• Strategy Support: Provide data and insights to help senior team members develop long-term commodity and localization strategies.
• Global Collaboration: Share relevant supply chain data with the global commodity team.

Operations, Quality & Cost Optimization

• Delivery Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve daily supplier issues related to part deliveries and logistics.
• Engineering Changes (VA/VE): Support engineering change management and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) proposals to drive cost savings.
• Localization Plans: Execute localized sourcing plans to reduce lead times and logistics costs.
• Process & Quality Audits: Identify critical manufacturing processes at the supplier end and support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
