Qualifications

• 8–10 years of procurement/sourcing/category management experience in B2B manufacturing.
• Strong track record in supplier negotiations, cost savings and strategic sourcing.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics; experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA).

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Lead Buyer to join our Global Procurement team. The role will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, driving cost optimization, ensuring security of supply, managing supplier relationships, and supporting business growth through strategic procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and maximize contribution management.
• Lead supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing activities.
• Improve working capital through effective management of payment terms and inventory.
• Support reformulation and sustainability projects, including Product Carbon Footprint reduction initiatives.
• Develop dual and regional sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risks.
• Monitor market trends and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and procurement risk management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and finance teams to achieve business targets.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant regulatory requirements (REACH, TSCA, etc.).
• Drive adoption of procurement systems, tools, and reporting processes.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, spend analysis, and sourcing recommendations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8-10 years of procurement, sourcing, or category management experience in a B2B manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in procurement of chemical raw materials, specialty chemicals, solvents, intermediates, or related categories.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost savings, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in spend analysis and market intelligence.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics.
• Experience working with SAP S/4 HANA or similar ERP systems.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Commercially driven with a strong results-oriented approach.
