Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a seasoned Category Manager to drive its global plastics sourcing strategy. You will deliver analytics, support negotiations, and guide governance across regions.

The role requires 12–15 years in category management or strategic sourcing, plus strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to coordinate across APAC, EMEA and the Americas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, or Polymer Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
• 12–15 years of category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain analytics, or related roles.
• Experience supporting global or regional sourcing teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the global plastics category strategy by delivering spend analysis, market intelligence, technology and supplier mapping, dashboards, and executive-level insights.
• Support global and regional negotiations through cost models, benchmarks, business cases, and structured negotiation preparation; track contract renewals and compliance.
• Identify, size, and track cost-reduction, productivity, and metal-to-plastic conversion opportunities; support AOP commitments and savings validation with finance.
• Manage plastics category and transformation governance, including meeting cadence, project pipeline, materials, action tracking, and supplier/QBR review preparation.
• Partner with regional sourcing, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and finance teams to support technical validation and consistent execution of the global category strategy across regions.

• Experience working with global stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and Americas.
