Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle in Chennai seeks a candidate for NPD/Product Development to drive project timelines, coordinate NPD trials, and ensure regulatory compliance for new product introductions.

The role requires collaboration with marketing, production, SCM and R&D teams, plus maintaining SAP documents and GMP/audit readiness. Fluency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Liaison with local marketing team for project management like preparing Gantt charts, NPD meeting updates and samples sharing.
• Scheduling and completing all NPD trials in coordination with local mfg. team.
• Coordinate with production and SCM teams for commercialisation of NPDs.
• Regular interaction with Group R&D for technology transfer and trials reporting.
• Creating documents related to NPD and uploading BOMs in SAP.
• Ensuring ownership of stability testing and regulatory compliances for relevant products.
• Participation in GMP and Food Safety internal audits and awareness of product quality.

Responsibilities

• Leads recipe development as per marketing brief.
• Ensure material connectivity and flawless execution of industrial trials.
• Maintain R&D documentation like PDR recipes, Stability tests, decay study etc.
• BOM updates on SAP; ensure timely availability of RM codes and SFG codes for NPDs.
• Executing BOM budgeting exercise.
• Ownership of NPD labs: ensure right equipment and manpower allocation as per project priorities.

Preferred candidate profile
