Job summary

Indorama Ventures is expanding its Global Capability Center in Kolkata, India, to strengthen SCM-Procurement and logistics support across transactional and tactical processes. The Associate will handle planning, documentation, and MIS, while collaborating with global teams to optimize operations.

The role requires experience in procurement/logistics, ERP/SAP knowledge (S4 HANA), and strong communication, analytical, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Purchasing experience in manufacturing with a track record of cost savings.
• Must be able to multi-task and pro-actively identify solutions.
• Working experience in S4 HANA, Transport and Warehouse Management Module.
• Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel (advanced formulas/pivots), and Word.
• Knowledge of MDG Vendor Master/Material Master creation is preferable.
• ERP SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute Logistics operations including Planning, Documentation, MIS and related processes (STO, SOPO, POSO, PGI, GRN, OBD, BOL, LC, Shipping docs, ARD).
• Provide tactical process support for Logistics MIS, analytics and dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement opportunities across the organization.
• Interact with site personnel across regions on strategic initiatives and contract terms.
• Support internal reporting requirements and participate in special projects as needed.

The Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Kolkata, India supports worldwide operations through centralized IT, Finance and business process services.

Position Overview

Indorama's Global Capability Center (GCC) is building out its SCM-Procurement function within GCC, which will support on both transactional and tactical procurement processes including Logistics

The team is seeking procurement/logistics/SCM professionals/ buyers/ analysts to join our growing procurement team. This position is located in GCC Office, Kolkata. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with demonstrated capabilities and relevant experience. A successful individual in this role must have strong negotiating, communication, attention to detail, presentation, reporting & demonstrated related work experience with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities

The Associate - Logistics SCM is responsible for ensuring compliance & best practices are followed.This role entails operational execution, stakeholder management, continuous process improvement and technology integration to automate and scale transactional and tactical processes.

• Position responsible for executing Logistics operations including but not limited to Planning, Documentation, MIS. Well aware about various processes e.g. STO, SOPO, POSO, PGI, GRN, OBD, BOL, Shipping Documentation, LC, Sales Invoice, ARD, Truck In/Out, Road/Rail/Sea/Air Transport process and documentation, OTIF
• Should have experience in any of SCM functions - Material Handling and Storage, Inventory and Warehouse, Packaging and Labelling, Transportation and Shipping, Order Processing
• Provides tactical process support, such as for Logistics MIS, Analytics, Dashboards etc.
• Drive identification of continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organization
• Responsible for promoting the company spirit and a world class image to customers and colleagues
• Interaction with site level personnel in the Americas region on strategic initiatives and contract terms
• Provide support for internal reporting requirements
• Work on special projects or programs as needed

What We're Looking For

Educational Qualifications

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience

Experience

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing industry with a demonstrated track record on cost savings in a similar role is preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and pro-actively identify solutions
• Must have working experience in S4 HANA, Transport and Warehouse Management Module
• Must have excellent computer skills including Power Point (PPT), Excel Advance Formulae /Pivot, and Word
• Sound knowledge of MDG Vendor master/material master creation is preferable.
• Works independently with limited direct supervision
• Energetic, self-motivated, dependable individual with good communication and people skills
• Experience with ERP system SAP is preferred

Experience with workflow management tools, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP), and Microsoft office applications, including managing large databases
