Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Chennai is seeking a Logistic Assistant to support Materials handling, inbound/outbound logistics, and inventory control. You will follow GMP, ensure FIFO, perform cycle counts, and coordinate with production for RM/FG movements.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor in management or logistics and 3 years of indirect procurement experience. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP, plus strong English/Hindi/Tamil communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in indirect procurement from multinational companies.
• Experience in MRO purchasing and Project purchasing.
• Other logistics experience (planning, raw material purchasing, material control, customer service, warehouse and waste disposal management) is plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow HSE guidelines.
• Safe unloading, loading & handling of all incoming/outgoing materials.
• Prepare Goods Receipt Note (GRN) on time and submit bills to finance & maintain records.
• Ensure proper identification labeling on receipt material & update RM display board as locations change.
• Plan & execute interunit transfer of RM with vehicle arrangement.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1) Follow HSE guideline.

2) Safe unloading, loading & handling of all incoming /outgoing materials.

3) Safely storing of RM & FG as per the specified location with following the GMP process and keeping good traceability & Identification.

4) Preparation of Goods Receipt Note (GRN) on time and submit bills to the finance & maintain.

5) Ensure proper identification labeling on the receipt material & update the RM display board based on the location changes.

6) Raw materials issue to production by maintaining FIFO and GMP procedure.

7) MRO material issue to maintenance as per the Work Order.

8) Conduct Cycle counting and periodic physical inventory (RM/FG/MRO/Packing material).

9) Ensure FIFO process is followed while picking the materials.

10) Plan & execute the interunit transfer of RM as per the requirement with vehicle arrangement.

11) Execute Subcontracting process & reconciliation.

12) Responsibility of good housekeeping at RM WH/Maintenance store & removal of unwanted materials from workplace Maintain 5S.

13) ISO: 9001: 2015, IATF 16949: 2016, EMS 14001: 2015 and MIS reporting (daily, weekly and monthly.

14) Maintain Inventory accuracy as per System vs Physical & Perform Physical Inventory.

15) left-over grades monitoring for liquidation.

16) Support for handling service-related customer complaints.

17) Support for OTIF Monitoring.

18) Participating in site VEP/LEAN/5S or related projects activities.

19) Ensure replenishment of packaging stock based on the on-hand Export Order.

Education:

Diploma/Bachelor degree with major in management or logistics related field.

Work Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in indirect procurement from multinational companies.
• Experience in MRO purchasing and Project purchasing.
• Other logistics experience (planning, raw material purchasing, material control, customer service, warehouse and waste disposal management) is plus.

Skills & Language

Skill: Good command of MS office & experience of SAP.

Languages: Good written and oral communication in English, Hindi & Tamil.
