Overview
The Transaction Services team will be a multi‑skilled team. The work encompasses cash operations, asset servicing, trade operations, and derivatives. We are looking for someone who likes working as part of a team and is comfortable with a fast‑paced operations environment. A strong interest in learning and harnessing technology will help you with your role in the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the transactions and events you are assigned and responsible for are processed within deadlines, following up and escalating as appropriate.
- Prioritise your own workload effectively, understanding when to flag or escalate to more senior members of the team.
- Assist with the resolution of any queries, stock & cash reconciliation breaks assigned to you. Escalate unresolved queries or breaks based on agreed criteria (i.e., age, value, client profile).
- Take ownership of any ad‑hoc tasks and project work assigned to you and deliver within agreed timelines.
- Manage client and stakeholder queries pro‑actively, with particular focus on quality and timeliness of communication.
- Utilise department controls and procedures honestly and effectively, taking steps to call out and minimise any risks.
- Suggest, explore and help to implement ideas to save time and cost, reduce risk and improve service quality.
- Collaborate with others to help build a positive and supportive working environment.
- Establish a close working relationship with other operational areas, the Portfolio Implementers, Dealers and all external parties, liaising on matters relating to day‑to‑day operations.

- Commitment to continually building knowledge of processes across the Transaction Services life‑cycle.
- The role holder is expected to play an active part in improving day‑to‑day procedures and how the work is to be tackled.
- Responsible for planning own workload typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and/or external events for a day ahead.
- Is required to make routine judgments in situations that are understood and uncontentious. Expected to seek assistance for anything complex or out of the ordinary.
- Prioritising the workload and working effectively toward deadlines.
- An expert in your field and a strong mentor to the team's Junior Analysts.
- Responsible for ensuring that issues identified are fully disclosed on a timely basis. Disclosure must be comprehensive and be on the same day any issue is discovered.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience on Aladdin.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient on Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of Derivatives (including Collateral Management).
- Previous experience in Trade operations across all asset classes (equity, FI, including ABS/MBS, FX, MMkts, UTs, Repo & TDs).
- Previous experience in Cash operations – specifically payments experience.
- Good operational knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards.
- Good understanding of the end‑to‑end Corporate Action processes for Mandatory and Voluntary events, and income processing.
- Appreciation of operational risks within the transaction / asset life‑cycle.
