Job summary

UST is seeking an Operations Analyst to manage transaction processing and escalation within deadlines. You will prioritise your workload, resolve queries, and ensure timely cash reconciliation across daily cycles while maintaining quality service.

You will coordinate with senior team members, assist with ad-hoc tasks, and manage stakeholder inquiries with a focus on risk and accuracy. Cross-functional collaboration is essential for smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Aladdin platform
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel
• Knowledge of derivatives, including collateral management
• Experience in trade operations across asset classes
• Experience in cash operations, payments
• Good understanding of SWIFT messaging standards
• Understanding of corporate action processes and operational risk awareness

Responsibilities

• Ensure transactions and events are processed within deadlines with follow-up/escalation as needed
• Prioritise workload and flag/escalate to senior team members
• Assist with resolution of queries and stock cash reconciliation issues
• Escalate unresolved queries or breaks based on criteria (age, value, client profile)
• Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks and projects, deliver on timelines
• Proactively manage client and stakeholder queries with quality and timeliness
• Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to support day-to-day operations
• Liaise with Dealers and Portfolio Implementers to ensure smooth operations

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the transactions and events you are assigned and responsible for are processed within deadlines, following up and escalating as appropriate.
• Prioritise your own workload effectively, understands when to flag / escalat to more senior members of the team.
• Assist with the resolution of any queries, stock cash reconciliation breaks assigned to you.
• Escalate unresolved queries or breaks based on agreed criteria ie age, value, client profile.
• Take ownership of any ad-hoc tasks and project work assigned to you and deliver within agreed timelines.
• Manage client and stakeholder queries pro-actively, with particular focus on quality and timeliness of communication Utilise department controls and procedures honestly and effectively, taking steps to call out and minimise any risks. Suggest, explore and help to implement ideas to save time and cost, reduce risk and improve service quality.
• Collaborate with others to help build a positive and supportive working environment. Establish a close working relationship with other operational areas, the Portfolio Implementers,
• Dealers and all external parties, liaising on matters relating to day-to-day operations.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience on Aladdin Excellent attention to detail Proficient on Excel
• Good working knowledge of Derivatives (including Collateral Management)
• Previous experience in Trade operations - across all asset classes ie equity, FI (including ABS/MBS), FX, MMkts, UTs, Repo TDs.
• Previous experience in Cash operations - specifically payments experience Good operational knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards
• Good understanding of the end-to-end Corporate Action processes for Mandatory and Voluntary events, income processing Appreciation of operational risks within the transaction / asset lifecycle.
