Job summary

Davies in Pune seeks an Associate Graphic Designer to join its global bid studio. You will report to the bid design team leader and craft class-leading design collateral from brief to award for group bids and tenders.

The ideal candidate holds a design degree and has 3 years of in-house or agency experience, with strong typography, layout, and print/brand skills. Proficiency in US English and a bold, collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/Qualification in Graphic Design or related field
• 3 years industry experience as a graphic designer working in-house or agency
• Proficient in spoken and written US English
• Strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Strong skills in Word and PowerPoint for client pitches
• Excellent communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• Insurance and/or professional services experience preferred
• Dynamic portfolio showing print; multi-page brochures/magazines
• Ability to interpret design briefs independently and with initiative
• Willingness to develop skills and work in fast-paced environment
• Video editing/animation skills are an advantage but not essential

Exciting opportunity for a creative graphic designer to work in a collaborative and supportive environment within Davies global bid studio. Reporting into the bid design team leader within our Pune studio, you will play an important role in advancing the creative benchmark of group-wide bids, proposals and pitches. Working in tandem with our Bid Managers you will be working independently in preparing class-leading design collateral from brief to award for a range of group bids and tenders. The ideal candidate will hold a portfolio rich in print ready, multi-page sales brochures and/or magazines, where typography, creative flair and layout skills are clearly demonstrated.

Key Responsibilities

Produce bespoke compelling print ready creative or presentation decks in accordance with client requirements and sales objectives

• Work with a wide range of media, including typography, illustration and animation to deliver bid creative that is fresh, innovative, on-brand and focused on converting sales pursuits
• Respond to ad-hoc creative briefs for client specific positioning materials that support the development of group-wide sales pipelines
• Work across multiple brands and co-brand to our clients to produce creative that simplifies technical complexity, enhances key sales messages and makes Davies bid, proposal and pitch materials exciting for clients to engage with
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines with high-quality output
• Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across all designed materials
• Collaborate the internal team to understand design requirements and ensure that the final output meets their expectations
• Keep up to date with design best practice and industry trends to enhance our bid responses and stay ahead of the market

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Degree/Qualification in Graphic Design or related field
• 3 years industry experience as a graphic designer working in-house or agency for UK based entity
• Proficient in spoken and written US English
• Thorough working knowledge and strong technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and after effects.
• Strong skills in Word and PowerPoint, used to a professional level for client pitches
• Excellent communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• Insurance and/or professional services experience preferred
• A dynamic portfolio that showcases creative flair and an attention to detail in a print environment
• Ability to interpret design briefs independently to produce relevant creative
