Role & responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR & Workforce Planning
- Develop and review manpower norms, organization structures and regional manpower plans in line with business requirements.
- Prepare and monitor HR Annual Business Plans, manpower budgets and workforce costs.
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, processes and digital HR initiatives across locations.
2. Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle
- Ensure adequate manpower at all levels and timely closure of open positions within defined TAT/SLA.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to drive cost-effective recruitment and workforce utilization.
- Oversee onboarding, induction, internal transfers, deputations and early-stage employee engagement.
- Drive initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce early attrition.
3. Talent Management & Capability Development
- Drive Performance Management (PMS) including goal setting, reviews and annual appraisals.
- Identify critical roles, High-Potential employees and succession requirements.
- Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and competency-building initiatives.
- Identify training needs and partner with L&D teams for functional and behavioral development programs.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, HR Connects, Town Halls and employee feedback mechanisms.
- Strengthen employee communication, recognition, engagement and retention.
- Build a positive, inclusive and high-performance work culture.
5. Industrial & Employee Relations
- Manage Industrial Relations, Employee Relations and Trade Union relationships across locations.
- Lead wage settlements and negotiations with unions and employee representatives.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, misconduct and absconding cases.
- Maintain a harmonious work environment and ensure continuity of operations.
6. Statutory Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and regulatory timelines.
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle including attendance, leave, transfers, separation and Full & Final settlements.
- Ensure effective grievance redressal and timely resolution of employee concerns.
- Drive HR MIS, dashboards and analytics to support business decision-making.
Preferred candidate profile
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources / Personnel Management preferred.
- 15-20 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure or multi-location environments.
- Strong experience in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, HR Operations and HR Business Partnering.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
