Job summary

Acuity Knowledge Partners, a global analytics and research company, is hiring for its Private Equity and Private Credit team based in Gurgaon. The role focuses on fund accounting, valuation, and performance analytics with exposure to CapIQ and Preqin.

Qualifications

• MBA or other post-graduate degree from a reputed institute.
• 2-4 years of strong experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting.
• Knowledge of Private Equity, Fund of Funds and Financial Services Industry trends.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience with CapIQ or Preqin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Track quarterly valuations from capital accounts, rolling forward valuations.
• Track original commitments and unfunded obligations using cashflows/ notices.
• Capture fund valuation data such as investment cost, realized/unrealized value, KPI metrics.
• Analyze PE Funds performance via fund literature and quarterly/financial reports.
• Prepare quarterly investor reports on fund and portfolio company performance (NAV, DVPI, TVPI, IRRs).
• Monitor operational KPIs and provide quarterly updates.
• Manage client relationships and deliverables on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• l Track quarterly valuations from Capital accounts, Rolling forwardValuations using Cash Flow notices
• l Track Original Commitments, unfunded obligations using Cashflowsnotices, Capital accounts
• l Capture fund valuation data such as investment cost, realized /unrealized value, gross / net multiple, gross / net IRR and financial KPIs suchas revenue, EBITDA, net debt etc.
• l Analyze PE Funds performance by going through fund literature suchas quarterly/financial reports
• l Preparation of quarterly reports to investors on the funds’ andportfolio companies’ performance (comprising NAV, DVPI, TVPI, IRRs, costs andinvestors’ capital accounts)
• l Tracking the performance of operational KPIs and operationalupdates on quarterly basis
• l Calculating fund multiples and IRRs using cash flows andperforming various fund analytics such as attribution and value creationanalysis
• l Managing the client relationships for the Funds and individuallyhandle the deliverable requirements on daily/weekly/monthly/Quarterly basis.
• l Identify and implement process improvement techniques to improvethe process efficiency and team productivity
• l 2-4 years of strong experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting
• l MBA or other Post-Graduate or Professional Degree from a reputedInstitute
• l Knowledge and understanding of Private Equity, Fund of Funds andFinancial Services Industry (FSI) trends
• l Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel
• l Knowledge of databases including CapIQ, Preqin is an addedadvantage
• l Ability to take complete ownership and deliver the projects as perclient requirements and timeline
• l Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• l Ability to conduct high-quality project-level conversations withclients
• l Prior knowledge and experience in Private Equity, Real Estate,Private Credit, Co-investment, Fund of Funds
• l Goodto have: Knowledge of AI capabilities and practical business applications is aplus.
