Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking an Associate Director with strong IT due‑diligence, post‑transaction IT advisory, and IT transformation experience to work on private equity and corporate engagements.

The role focuses on delivering rapid diagnostics, 100‑day IT plans, and targeted cost and process improvements across multiple industries. You will lead diverse teams and collaborate with clients to drive value in M&A programs.

Qualifications

• 12‑14 years of relevant experience in risk consulting within a top consulting firm.
• Proven exposure to multiple risk domains (enterprise, credit, market, operational, conduct, compliance, technology/cyber, ESG).
• Strong grasp of global and local regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III/IV, PRA/FCA, ECB, RBI, IRDAI).
• Experience in risk process and governance transformation programs, including target operating model design and automation of risk processes.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capability, with experience in risk data, MI, and control assessment frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior client stakeholders and manage delivery of multi‑stakeholder engagements.
• Experience managing and developing high‑performing teams in a consulting or risk advisory context.

• Provide strategic operational insight and IT transformation support to private equity‑owned and corporate businesses.
• Advise and implement IT performance improvement programs across a wide range of industry sectors.
• Carry out effective technology and e‑Commerce due diligence pre‑transaction, and provide necessary post‑transaction services (Post Merger Integration, Carve‑Out, 100‑day planning). Conduct rapid diagnostics and detailed IT due diligence, looking into a company's immediate and future major technology issues, digital propositions, product profitability, cost base, processes and overall options for performance improvement.
• Lead the post‑acquisition work to ensure that the IT Due Diligence and Operations Due Diligence is realized in full and in the shortest possible time.
• Prepare 100‑day IT plans for carve‑outs and post‑merger integration, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Design and implement digital transformation initiatives in data science & analytics, digital workforce & artificial intelligence, and digitization.
• Contribute to business development activity, including developing successful pitches and selling, from the initial “diagnostic” project phase into implementation work.

How You Will Contribute

A&M is seeking an Associate Director with experience in IT Due‑Diligence (pre‑deal), IT Performance Improvement (profitability, cost base, processes), IT advisory and strategy and Post‑transaction IT advisory (e.g., Post Merger IT integration, IT carve‑out and 100‑day IT planning in M&A).
