Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an senior cloud architect to lead the design of cloud landscapes across on-prem, hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. You will drive migration programs, define standards, and ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of overall IT experience with 7+ years in senior cloud architecture roles.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud exposure preferred).
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, virtualization, storage and networking.
• Experience designing hybrid and cloud-integrated infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture, IAM, network security, and compliance.
• Experience with microservices, containers and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
• Experience in high availability, DR, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation or cloud migration programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud architecture strategy, roadmaps, and reference architectures aligned with business goals.
• Assess current cloud landscape and identify opportunities for modernization, cloud adoption, and infrastructure optimization.
• Design and govern end-to-end architecture covering applications, cloud, infrastructure, security, and integration.
• Design scalable, highly available, and secure solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Drive cloud migration, cloud-native, and hybrid infrastructure initiatives.
• Define and enforce architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices, and review architecture and solution designs.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, resilience, and compliance requirements.

How You Will Contribute

• Develop cloud architecture strategy, roadmaps, and reference architectures aligned with business goals

• Review and guide on capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in architecting cloud landing zone and other design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud exposure preferred)
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, and networking
• Experience designing hybrid and cloud-integrated infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture, IAM, network security, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Experience in high availability, DR, performance tuning, and monitoring
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation or cloud migration programs
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
• Preferred certifications:
• Cloud Architect certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• ITIL or infrastructure-related certifications
