Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director - Pricing to lead complex pricing engagements and act as a financial and commercial advisor to deal teams in Bengaluru. You will drive deal structuring, pricing models, and profitability analysis, coordinating with Sales, Solutioning, Finance, Delivery, Tax, and FP&A to ensure governance and optimal value.

The role requires guiding pricing strategy, managing risks, and mentoring junior staff while aligning with Cognizant’s objectives and governance

Qualifications

• Degree qualification and/or professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, deal support, or related functions.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, deal pricing, profitability analysis, and commercial structuring.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes across complex deal environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands effectively.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the financial structuring and analysis of deals while meeting Cognizant’s business objectives.
• Develop pricing models and assess profitability, cash flow, key financial metrics, and overall deal viability.
• Identify and communicate financial and commercial risks throughout the deal lifecycle, from qualification through contract closure.
• Support deal teams throughout the sales cycle by analyzing and recommending deal-specific financial strategies and solutions.
• Support negotiations of commercial and financial terms to achieve Cognizant’s business and financial objectives.
• Enable Cognizant to execute contracts that deliver approved returns while addressing customer business drivers.
• Liaise with FP&A, Tax, Technical Accounting, and other functions to ensure objective financial governance and decision-making.
• Prepare for and actively participate in internal deal governance reviews.
• Support compliance with Cognizant processes, policies, and approved pricing toolsets.
• Keep Pricing Leadership informed of potential issues, risks, and unresolved matters.
• Participate in team meetings, assist with deal coverage, and support business continuity.
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members.

About the role

As a Associate director - Pricing, you will drive impactful contributions and focus on outcomes. You will be a key member of the Deal Pricing team, collaborating with sales, solutioning, finance, delivery, tax, technical accounting, FP&A, and other business stakeholders. You will serve as a key financial and commercial advisor to deal teams, providing expertise in deal modeling, financial assessment, deal structuring, and negotiation support.
