Job summary

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of structuring/trading/sales experience.
  • MBA or CA qualification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and financial markets.

  • Grow the structured macro derivative business in India in line with SCB strategy.
  • Provide inputs to Regional Credit Structuring and Macro structuring teams for robust product support.
  • Ensure regional delivery of Financial Markets structured products with client focus.

Overview

Responsible for Structuring business across Corporates, Investors and Banks segments in India. Actively identify client needs, build platforms, and provide structured solutions (across hedging, risk management, financing and yield enhancement) to SCB clients across asset classes (Rates, FX, Credit and Equity). Help originate new business and grow product capabilities by partnering with stakeholders in trading and sales.

Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Work with respective Product, Sales and Trading to help grow the structured macro derivative business in India in line with SCBs overall strategy
  • Provide inputs for the Regional Credit Structuring team and Regional Macro structuring team to drive service excellence via robust product support, bespoke solutions and strategic cross‑asset guidance
  • Ensure that the Financial Markets structured credit and structured macro product suite is delivered regionally with demonstrable Client focus in support of our objective to become core bank to our clients
Business
  • Help build Product and Client Structuring business regionally and ensure the continuing growth and stability of the business
  • Work with respective FM Product teams and relevant Regional/Country Heads, identify the initiatives needed to grow the Structuring business on a short, medium and long‑term basis
  • Help to build good working partnerships between CIB teams, Product teams and FM sales teams in the region in order to provide a seamless and coordinated interface to our Clients in delivering our structured products and services
  • Work in partnership with stakeholders to deliver new product capabilities to enhance efficiency and expansion of the business
Processes
  • Manage business and risk process issues by interacting (where required) with representatives on various risk, governance and control committees
  • Actively support deal origination in India working in conjunction with sales and coverage teams to generate ideas and pitch to clients
  • Build effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders in CIB
People & Talent
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values
  • Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners
Risk Management / Risk Governance
  • Enforce a culture of risk management and ensure that the teams comply with the risk management processes in place
  • Provide impartial guidance of matters of product / client appropriateness and suitability
  • Discourage transactions with unmanageable market risk profiles
  • Ensure that adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in place to comply with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation
  • Escalate any risk issues and concentrations. Where appropriate, carry out remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting
  • Protect the stability, long‑term sustainability and reputation of the Bank
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank
