Role & responsibilities
The candidate needs to understand that he/she would be working in the social sector. Empathy is an essential trait. Should have the ability to work in an unstructured/fluid environment.
- Lead YP 2.0s livelihood-focused academic strategy to improve employability, income generation, and long-term student outcomes.
- Drive end-to-end development and continuous improvement of vocational courses, curriculum, and content aligned with industry demand and Sector Skill Council standards.
- Identify emerging sectors and livelihood opportunities, and launch relevant, scalable, and future-ready skilling programs.
- Build strong industry, academia, and sector partnerships to ensure curriculum relevance, practical exposure, and stronger placement/self-employment pathways.
- Design engaging, learner-centered pedagogy and standardize quality delivery across centers through effective content, systems, and technology-enabled learning.
- Lead faculty recruitment, training, performance management, and capability building to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
Provide strategic academic inputs for organizational growth, expansion, and innovation aligned with YP 2.0 goals.
Preferred candidate profile
- Postgraduate with 7-10 years of experience in Academics & Content development/ academic monitoring. (M.Ed., MBA, MA in Education, or related fields)
- Vocational Skilling Experience Preferred
- Education using Learning Management System (LMS) and rollout experience
- Trainers Management - skills, recruitment, evaluation and rewards
- Innovation Bent of Mind willing to try new ideas
- Experience of Online/Hybrid Learning Modules
- Certifications in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) can be advantageous
- Have excellent communication, networking and presentation skills
