Job summary

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and expand the RCM COE strategy and governance.
• Drive end-to-end optimization across RCM functions (Patient Access, Coding, Billing, AR, Denials).
• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality and reduce turnaround time.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, and standardized workflows.
• Define KPIs and build advanced reporting dashboards and analytics frameworks.
• Drive digital transformation, automation (RPA/AI) and IT/product collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer policies.
• Engage stakeholders including clients, providers, payers, and senior leadership.

The Associate Director – COE for Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing, governing, and optimizing a Center of Excellence to drive best practices, process standardization, innovation, and performance excellence across RCM functions. This role will focus on improving financial outcomes, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and driving digital transformation across the end-to-end revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• COE Strategy & Leadership
• Lead the design, implementation, and expansion of the RCM COE strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices across all RCM functions.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for revenue cycle operations and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define KPIs and performance benchmarks.
• Process Excellence & Standardization
• Drive end-to-end process optimization across key RCM areas:
• Patient Access & Registration
• Coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
• Billing & Charge Entry
• Accounts Receivable (AR) Management
• Denials Management

• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to improve quality and reduce turnaround time.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Finance, or related field
