  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a strong command of English and Hindi.
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital communications, content creation, social media, or a related field.
  • Strong visual sense and experience creating digital/social media content.
  • Working knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite and video-editing tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity, curiosity, empathy, and sensitivity in telling stories about rural communities.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page SEO, content optimisation, meta titles and descriptions, internal linking, and Google Search Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling stories, captions, articles, social media posts, newsletters, award applications, and other digital content showcasing the Foundation’s work and community voices.
  • Manage content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and contribute to content planning and calendars.
  • Create and design engaging social media posts, carousels, infographics, reels, and other digital formats using tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Edit short audio and video content for social media and digital platforms, including reels, shorts, interviews, and field stories.
  • Work with programme teams to identify stories, gather content from the field, and translate programme experiences into engaging digital narratives.
  • Support newsletters, website content, digital campaigns, events, and other communications initiatives.
  • Track and analyse social media performance and stay updated on emerging digital formats and trends.

S M Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the Associate, Digital Communications position on an annually renewable fixed-term contract.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and digitally savvy communications professional who can bring the Foundation’s work and community stories to life through compelling writing, visual content, social media, newsletters, and short-form audio-video.

The ideal candidate must have strong English writing, storytelling, visual communication, and digital-trends skills, with an interest in social and development issues.

Skills and Experience
