Job summary

The role requires MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis/Radiology with valid registration. Fellowship in radiology is an advantage; multispecialty hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis/Radiology from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council.
• Additional fellowship/certification in a specialized area of Radiology will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret diagnostic radiology procedures (X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI) as per qualification and expertise.
• Review and report imaging studies accurately and within defined turnaround times.
• Provide clinical correlation and communicate critical findings promptly to clinicians.
• Participate in emergency and routine radiology services as per departmental requirements.
• Ensure imaging protocols are followed for different clinical indications.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, radiation safety and infection control.
• Interact professionally with patients and explain procedures where required.
• Coordinate with clinicians, technicians and other healthcare professionals for smooth delivery of radiology services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, audits, quality initiatives and clinical discussions.
• Support junior doctors and technical staff in the appropriate execution of radiology procedures.
• Stay updated with advancements in diagnostic imaging, reporting standards and radiology practices.
