Job summary

Cloudrack (mj) Technology in Chennai seeks an Associate Cloud Engineer for a 1-year contract to join the cloud operations team. You will provision, configure, monitor Azure and AWS resources, manage access, and support IaC, CI/CD, and observability workflows.

Candidate should have hands-on cloud experience, scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash), multi-cloud exposure, and good communication. Preference for Azure/GCP/AWS certs and AI tooling familiarity; office-based role with meals provided.

Qualifications

• 23 years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) required.
• Basic understanding of cloud operations monitoring, access management, and provisioning.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Exposure to DevOps, GitOps, and observability tooling for CI/CD or SRE workflows; IaC exposure is a plus.
• Good communication skills and a strong learning mindset.
• Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP) are a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Operations: Provision, configure, and monitor resources; first-line monitoring and anomaly escalation.
• Access Management: Handle RBAC/IAM requests, onboarding/offboarding, SSO support.
• Security & Resilience: Apply patches, track remediation, review backups/DR.
• Incident & Service Requests: Log, triage, progress incidents and requests.
• Automation & DevOps: Contribute to IaC on low-risk changes; support CI/CD and GitOps.
• Cost & AI Platform: Support tagging, cost reporting, and AI tool operations.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain SOPs/runbooks; coordinate with Cybersecurity, BI & Data, Platform Eng.

Role & responsibilities

• Cloud Operations: Provision, configure, and monitor Azure and AWS resources; perform first-line monitoring (cloud-native tools, Grafana, Site24x7) and elevate anomalies per SOP.
• Access Management: Handle RBAC/IAM requests, user onboarding/offboarding, SSO support, and periodic access reviews.
• Security & Resilience: Apply routine patches, track vulnerability remediation, and review backup/DR status.
• Incident & Service Requests: Log, triage, and progress incidents and requests through the Service Desk Tool.
• Automation & DevOps: Contribute to IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) on low-risk changes; support CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
• Cost & AI Platform: Support tagging compliance and cost reporting; assist with day-to-day Enterprise AI Gateway and AI tool (Claude, Cursor) operations.
• Documentation & Collaboration: Maintain SOPs/runbooks; coordinate with Cybersecurity, BI & Data, and Platform Engineering teams.

Preferred candidate profile

23 years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP); multi-cloud exposure is a plus.

• Basic understanding of cloud operations monitoring, access management, and provisioning.

• Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers and scripting language (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Exposure to DevOps, GitOps, and observability tooling for CI/CD or SRE workflows; IaC exposure is a plus.

• Good communication skills and a strong learning mindset.

Good to have :

Cloud certification Azure Administrator, GCP Cloud Engineer, or AWS SAA/SOA (Associate level) preferred; at minimum Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner, or entry level.

• Awareness of AI/LLM tooling or interest in AI-assisted engineering workflows.
