Job summary

GEA Group in Bengaluru, India, seeks a software engineer with 2-5 years of experience in industrial automation to join our international team. You will develop and program software both independently and in project teams, and implement customer-specific applications on our machines worldwide.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, have hands-on knowledge of IEC 61131-3 and Structured Text, and be familiar with B&R PLCs and Automation Studio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience (2-5 years) in similar function and international business environment.
• Proficient with IEC 61131-3 and Structured Text.
• Experience with B&R PLCs and Automation Studio.
• Willingness to travel globally (10-20%).
• Self-motivated, result driven, team player.

Responsibilities

• Developing and programming software on your own and as part of a team, depending on the project size.
• Developing customer specific applications and installing these globally at our customers.
• Training customers on our machines and software applications.
• Translating a customer request to a workable software solution.
