Job summary

United Airlines India Knowledge Center is seeking an Associate Analyst to deliver accurate, timely data for Technical Operations Reliability. You will identify ATA codes for tech ops interruptions, analyze fleet data, and support fleet reliability initiatives.

You will work with SQL and data visualization tools, contribute to regulatory reporting, and partner with maintenance and engineering teams to drive data-driven decisions in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience in aviation/engineering.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in aviation or related fields.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and strong attention to accuracy.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and eligible to work in India without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely data including identifying ATA codes for tech ops interruptions and system details.
• Regulatory reporting and operational support, including disposition of chronic items.
• Track fleet trends and highlight potential issues through operational drill-downs.
• Support reliability and fleet initiatives, ad-hoc requests, and reporting needs.
• Prepare data and insights to assist maintenance and engineering teams in decision making.

Description

The Technical Operations Reliability team ensures United operates safely and dependably by analyzing aircraft defects and operational disruptions. The team monitors trends to notify maintenance and engineering teams of emerging issues and probable corrective actions. The Associate Analyst will aim to provide accurate information and useful insights to help multiple divisions make better data-driven decisions.

Job Overview And Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and useful data on time including, but not limited to, identifying ATA codes for tech ops interruptions, identifying component/ condition/ other details for system failures, identifying top system failures, supporting fleet reliability meetings
• Regulatory reporting and operational support, including dis-positioning chronic items
• Tracking fleet trends and highlighting potential issues by performing operational drill-downs
• Supporting ongoing reliability/fleet initiatives, ad-hoc requests and reporting needs
• Provide accurate and useful data on time including, but not limited to, identifying ATA codes for tech ops interruptions, identifying component/ condition/ other details for system failures, identifying top system failures, supporting fleet reliability meetings

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance, other engineering or related disciplines
• 6 months - 2 years of experience in aviation, or related fields
• Knowledge of aircraft systems
• Superior attention to accuracy and detail
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and prompt writing
• Exposure to AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and NotebookLM
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Knowledge of aircraft fleet health and/or reliability programs preferred
• Familiarity with using database querying tools, such as SQL, and data visualization/ reporting tools preferred
• Basic awareness of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, etc) and the ability to leverage them to improve productivity in technical data analysis, report preparation, documentation, and extracting insights from aircraft maintenance and reliability data.
