Qualifications

One of United’s newest departments, Customer Strategy & Innovation (CSI), handles premium services, ground experience, program management, customer analytics and insights, customer service innovation, and more.

The Customer Insights and Analytics team within the CSI department collaborates with various Hubs (airports) and product teams (such as Check-in, Gate & Boarding, Inflight, F&B, etc.). Our goal is to amplify customers voices and understand their choices and behavior to influence business strategies and maximize United’s return on customer experience investments. Job overview and responsibilities

As an Associate Analyst on the Customer Insights & Analytics team, you will influence a multi-phased insights and analytics strategy that supports a continuous cycle of listening, interpreting, driving action, and monitoring customer feedback. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities and communication skills. We seek creative, driven, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling challenging problems with data and insights. High-level responsibilities of the role include:

• Work independently to solve business problems using data mining, analysis, and automation

• Leverage data from a variety of sources to analyze business performance and provide actionable insights

• Support creation of presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders

• Build dashboards in PowerBI

• Communicate with US and India-based internal partners to contribute to analytical support

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a quantitative discipline like Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Operations Research

• Highly proficient in SQL and able to write high-performance, industry-grade, scalable code

• An intellectual curiosity for manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensional data from various sources to highlight patterns and relationships

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

• About 1-2 weeks of travel to the US annually

• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship in India

• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree

• Airline experience or knowledge of airline operations preferred

• Working knowledge of Python libraries

• Familiar with reporting tools – Spotfire/ Tableau/ Power BI

• Hands-on experience using AI tools in projects, internships, or work environments.

• Knowledge of automation platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Zapier, or n8n.
